July-August
Position assessment: So far in my position we have actually done quite a bit. This year my fellow commissioners and I have created spirit wear, sold the spirit wear at pow wow and club rush, done spirit counts for fridays and club rush spirit week, we have also filled out a PO form, and we are working on our procedure form at the moment. There were a lot of technically difficulties with spirit counts with leadership being 7th period, but we are working through it and we have a really good group of commissioners this year and I am super excited to be working with them. I already feel such a strong bond between us and I am super excited to see what this year brings.
Standing committee: I am not yet apart of any standing committees this year, but I am looking forward to hopefully find one that I am designated to this year rather than just helping the members out here and there.
Special committee: So far this year I have been apart of the poster committee for club rush. We made posters to hang up around campus for club rush events such as the black light rally, football game, and dress up days. We met up before school and created the posters where we would then hangup at these events in hopes to light up the events and intrigue the student body. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend a few of the poster making sessions but I gave my input and advice and helped wherever I was needed.
Mentorship: Jenna and I are mentor partners this year and so far it has been going really good. Jenna and I have been talking a lot in class and helping each other and giving each other tips on things such as our weebly websites. Jenna and I definitely push ourselves out of our comfort zones and we have a lot of fun together. She reminds me to stay on top of my work and stay focussed and I remind her that it is okay to loosen up sometimes. We are looking forward to spending more time together and getting to know more about one another. Jenna and I have made lunch plans together.
Concerns: To be completely honest I don’t feel as if I have too many concerns this year but one thing I would maybe say is as far as mentor partners go maybe switching them each semester so we get the chance to have a tight close bond with someone else in the leadership program rather than just one specific person all year. I feel like this year we are doing a really good job at staying close together but I hope that we maintain that and maybe we could do some team building activities in class.
Positive comment: I would like to shout out Elias for my positive comment this year is his first year in leadership and not only is he doing such a great job in his position stepping in and helping where it is needed he is also going out of his way and making an effort to bond and make a connection with a lot of different students in the classroom. Elias has a really good way of putting a smile on the faces around him and for that reason I want to shout him out and acknowledge him for all the great work he is doing.
One change: A change I would like to see like I mentioned before is maybe to start doing more team building especially early in the year. Everything that we do is important but if we don’t build our communication and team before we get into these stressful hard topics and situations we will all fall apart and then we won’t be able to do these tasks.
My impact: This year I feel like I have changed A LOT I always talked about how I wanted to stay on top of my work, get things done, and what not but this year I feel as if I actually am backing up what I am saying. I am very proud of myself, although it should be a basic thing and people may look at me and think “shouldn’t you have been doing that this whole time.” I still give myself props for being able to get myself out of this funk and put in some work. Me changing as an individual person I know will allow me to change others around campus as well. When I am feeling better about myself it will allow me to put out the best version of myself and overall make an impact on my fellow peers lives.

december
Position assessment: Besides spirit counts, the spirit crew hasn’t had a whole lot to do these past couple weeks and unfortunately a lot of us have been sick on and off so we have been planning out all the days that we have to do our spirit days. Aside from spirit counts we have mainly been attempting to plan out dress up days for certain basketball games. I have also been helping my junior class with all things winterfest.
Standing committee: I am not currently apart of a standing committee
Special committee: I was the team leader for door decorating this past month and although it was a little stressful with a bunch of things going on and the wrapping paper kept ripping it ended up being a success and I think it was a great turn out especially compared to last year and I am extremely proud of my group and everyone who put in hard work to make the campus look very festive for the holidays. A lot of teachers were super happy with how the campus turned out and I think that counts as a success, so the hard work payed off very well. And I would say that is a success.
Mentorship: These past few months have been crazy busy and it has been really nice to be able to just reset and have such great conversations with my mentor. Jenna and I have been sitting with each other a lot and helping each other with homework and such and it has been really nice. We have gotten to know each other a lot more and I absolutely love being able to crack jokes with her and really get to know her on a personal level which has been really really nice and I can’t wait for the rest of the year and getting to know her even more.
Concerns: I actually don’t have a lot of concerns that I can think of at all, but I would say maybe once again that as a class we should talk about as a class remembering all though we are all very competitive, we are still a class and are all the same team so there is no reason to tattle on each other (of course unless it is a necessary thing) but if it is a little thing we shouldn’t be tattling on each other just to make ourselves look better to our teacher.
Positive comment: My positive comment would be toward Gabby C. she is such a bright and positive person, and although I don’t even know her that well she has made such an impact on me because she is simply so kind and brings such a happy joyous attitude into the classroom when things can seem so extremely stressful.
Change: One change I would like to see potentially is maybe doing something different for book talks. I really enjoy talking for book talks, but don’t love writing about them because it is difficult for me to put my thoughts on these book talks into words and type it all out, so maybe having just a talking section for those who do choose to talk.
Impact:I feel as if I have made an impact here at Ripon high by being someone that people feel that they can count on and talk to. I feel as if I am pretty reliable and I hope people around the campus feel that they can talk to me and rely on me and feel comfortable asking questions or feeling that I can be an outlet or source for them. I try to talk to as many people as I can and hopefully make people feel that I am a friend to all.

Spirit Commissioner
January ASB report
February 2, 2023
Position Assessment: During the month of January the spirit crew was working hard during winterfest taking spirit counts and passing out candy. We all dressed up and showed our spirit and enjoyed being able to see everyone's else’s creative spirit ideas. Now that winterfest is over we will be continuing to do spirit counts every friday and we are planning on taking new inventory of the spirit wear and hopefully selling some of our shirts and crew necks on 8th grade day.
Standing committee : I am not currently apart of a standing committee
Special committee: I am apart of the college reveal committee and the tribe award committee where I will be assisting with setting up and helping wherever I am needed for these events to be able to be put on smoothly and precisely.
Mentorship: My new mentor partner is Ewan and it has been nice to be able to talk to someone new and get to know a little bit more about him. Ewan and I went to lunch together this past week and although we already know each other because we are both spirit commissioners it was nice to be able to broaden our connection and relate to each other about different kinds of things. I really do enjoy the Mentorship program and I believe it is super important to create bonds with those you never thought you would and that is exactly what is happening and I really enjoy it.
Concerns: I don’t feel as if I have many concerns, but after reflecting after all things winterfest I would say that we just need to remember that we are a class and we should not be too competitive with each other even though we may want our class to win a competition, at the end of the day we should all have one goal which is to serve the student body. If we are all getting mad at eachother or discriminating one anothers design or choreography we will not grow as a class which is what we need to be doing.
Positive comment: For my positive comment I would like to shoutout Miss Ava Brochinni. Ava is simply one of the most selfless people I have ever met. She truly cares about everyone around her. In class she is always working hard and getting what she needs done, done. She listens to everyone ideas and concepts, but also lets others know her own thoughts and brilliant ideas as well. She is drama free and nice to everyone. She kicks butt and is on top of everything she does and on top of that she is able to talk to others and ask them how they are doing.
Change: A change that I would like to see in the classroom would probably be to see a little bit more communication and talking about what is going on between the different commissioners and officers in the program.

April-MAy asb report
Position assessment: As the year is coming to an end, things have been looking differently for the spirit crew. We had our last official spirit week and now that all spirit counts are over we can start dealing all things, “end of the year gift.” We decided for the spirt gift this year to get mini bundt cakes for the winning class, so we called nothing bundt cakes got a price worked out and arranged a time and date to pick up the bundt cakes and pay for them.
Standing committee:I am not apart of a standing committee, but I have been apart of quite a few special committees.
Special committee:Throughout May and April I have been apart of three major special committees. I helped with pride tribe a couple weeks ago where I helped set up, which involved blowing up quite a bit of balloons and creating a balloon arch for the event and I also came after the event to help clean up and put everything away. I am also apart of the college reveal committee which is coming up. For this committee I will help set up again right after school is over and then I will yet again help clean up when the event is over. Finally, I am also a part of the publicity committee for the challenge. Payton and I are in charge of the end of the school year publicity where we have already created a reel to post, created flyers, and physical posters. We also have filled out announcement forms for the week of the dance and we are extremely excited to see it all come together!
Mentorship:I have really enjoyed the mentorship program this year a lot! I had a great time getting to know Jenna and Ewan this year. Jenna and I have become so close thanks to the program and I have truly enjoyed getting to know Ewan. Ewan and I sit by each other a lot during class because we are mentors and I have learned a lot of things about him I would have never known. I am very thankful that the mentorship program has allowed me to strengthen bonds with people I never thought I would become close with and I am very excited to see what next year has to offer when it comes to all things mentorship.
Concerns: I feel as if things have been runny very smoothly and great these past couple months so I really can’t think of many concerns. If I had to really try to find something to be concerned about, I would probably say when we have the down time to do more team building activities as a class for next year. I know it is hard to find a time to do things, and maybe just the students set up some kind of outing that is optional, but we are such a close knit group that it would be fun to get together and do something outside of class that would also strengthen team building skills.
Positive comment: For my positive comment I would like to give a shout out to Mak. I have given her a shout out before, but as the year comes to an end I see how much she truly deserves it. She does so much for our program and is always so busy, yet has never once shown anger to anyone in this class. She still continues to go above and beyond for her classmates while maintaining everything she does and for that I believe she deserves a shout out.
Change: I think a change that I would like to see is, when we have workdays next year it is a necessity to have a daily debrief. I feel as if this sets the standard pretty highly for the underclassmen and those who just need that friendly reminder to get to work otherwise there will be consequences. It gets annoying when you feel like no one else is working when there is so much to be done, but putting myself in their shoes I have definitely been the one not working before and probably didn’t even realize there was something I could be helping with. The daily debrief will just give those that discipline but also the push to get to work.
Impact:I feel like I have grown a lot this year not only as a leader but also as an individual and I am really proud to say that. Freshman year, I was definitely not the leader I am today. I had no clue what I was doing but I knew deep down that I wanted to make an impact I just didn’t know how. Now I know that I have gone out of my way to recognize people at our school who I would have never known if I wouldn’t have gone out of my way to talk to and I am just so grateful that I am working on my impact.
