personal statement
Ava Keast is a Senior at Ripon High who strives to be the best possible version of herself she can be. She challenges herself daily to make every room she walks into better than it was before. Ava is currently Senior Class Publicity Officer at Ripon high. A goal of hers was always to continue in the leadership program all four years of her high school experience, and now as she enters her 4th and final year in the program she can proudly check off that goal. She enjoys being extremely active in school, and being on top of her work no matter how hard it may get sometimes. Outside of school Ava enjoys swimming, paddle boarding, tumbling, and babysitting her baby cousin Riley. Ava is the head Captain of the varsity cheer team for Ripon High and has been cheering a total of 7 years while cheering in high school for 3 years and participating in competitive cheer for 3 seasons. Ava helped create The Next Chapter Book Club at Ripon High and was formally treasurer for the United Christian club. She also is in the Yoga club at Ripon High and the Girls League club. Ava is also a Ripon High Sober grad ambassador and a representative for the senior grad trip. Outside of school, Ava also volunteers as a Novice chiefs cheer coach where she coaches younger girls and hopes to be someone they can look up to, and inspire them to fall in love with Cheerleading just like Ava did at a young age. Ava hopes to attend a four year college and is working hard to potentially receive a scholarship to cheer in college. A quote that Ava lives by would be, "Sometimes in the waves of changes we find our direction." This quote sticks out to her because her life is always changing, but we have to remember that through change we learn many things, and sometimes change is for the better.
